What we build

Splitting a restaurant bill is a small problem everybody has and nobody enjoys. The usual answers are to divide by the number of people, which is unfair to whoever had the salad, or to work through the receipt line by line while the table waits.

Evens photographs the receipt, reads every line off it, and gives you one link to send round. Each person opens it, taps what they had, and sees their own total. Anything shared, a bottle of wine between four, is stored as an exact fraction, so the amounts add back up to the bill rather than to a rounding error.

There are no accounts and nothing to install for the people you share with. Evens never handles money: it opens your banking app with the payee and the amount, and everything after that is between you and your bank.

The web version is live now. The iPhone app has not yet been released: it will be on the App Store once Apple review is complete.
